RAIS Wave System

The tenKsolar RAIS (Redundant Array of Integrated Solar) Wave system combines proprietary PV modules with Light Smart Reflectors and integrated power optimizing circuitry to create a solar energy system that delivers more peak power and more kWh per square foot than any other solar system currently on the market.

Traditional solar panels cells connected in series depend on uniformly distributed light to balance the cells in the module. Shading or extra light on a cell causes the module’s electrical production to be compromised by the least productive cell.

The RAIS module has its cells arranged as a series parallel matrix and integrates the light across the entire module surface to turn it into power. Shading, soiling, or physical damage to a portion of a module has minimal impact on the module's output.

Reflectors placed in the spaces between the modules allow additional energy to be harvested by the RAIS system. The reflectors use a proprietary material that reflects only light wavelengths that can be converted to electricity by the module's cells. Light rays that cause heating are not reflected to the module. The addition of the smart reflectors increases the total peak power by up to 45%.
