Fossil Fuels are Non Renewable

Fossil fuels take millions of years to form and the reserves are being depleted much faster than new ones are being made. While new drilling technology is uncovering many natural gas reservoirs around the world, supplies are running out for oil and coal. Based on current and anticipated future rates of usage, recent data suggests we only have approximately 40 years worth of oil1 and approximately 119 years of coal2 remaining. Furthermore, as the supplies dwindle, the costs to use these fuels will continue to increase.
