The
New Jersey Clean Energy Program (NJCEP) provides cash rebates towards
the installation of solar electric systems. For residential systems rated as under 10 kW in size,
the NJCEP will provide $1.75 per watt (maximum of $17,500) provided that the
homeowner obtains an energy audit for the property; otherwise the NJCEP
will provide $1.55 per watt (maximum of $15,500).

Residents
that install grid connected solar systems are eligible to qualify for a
Federal Investment Tax Credit amounting to 30% of the purchase price of
the solar system.

From
the date of installation, a solar electric system will reliably produce
electricity during daylight hours for more than thirty years. As the
cost of utility supplied electricity inflates, the actual solar energy
